Alex graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Upon his graduation, he was chosen to serve as the Law Clerk to The Honorable Joseph H.H. Kaplan in the Circuit Court of Baltimore City.  After working with Judge Kaplan, Alex served as a prosecutor in the Office of the State’s Attorney. There, Alex worked on the front lines prosecuting those accused of crimes.

After 5 years as a prosecutor, Alex left to pursue a career in private practice. He was fortunate to work as an associate for Seymour Goldstein, Esq.  Mr. Goldstein is one of Maryland’s experts in trial law and is renowned for earning client loyalty.  With the experience he learned from Mr. Goldstein, Alex opened his own law practice in 2008, the Leikus Law Firm.

With over 17 years of experience practicing law in the state of Maryland, and as a former State Prosecutor, you can count on Alex to mount a formidable defense that exposes the prosecution flaws. He will apply his knowledge and experience in criminal defense to pursue a dismissal or reduction of charges, or present an aggressive and credible defense before a jury.
